A Startup Weekend that had been set for this weekend in Vancouver has been postponed to an undetermined date, according to its organizer.
Clark County resident Dave Barcos, the event’s lead organizer, said in a letter to entrepreneurs who had signed up for the July 24-26 event that sponsors had not been able to attract enough participants. He said tickets would be refunded and a new date would be set for a Startup Weekend.
Startup Weekends are 54-hour, hands-on events built to provide ideas and support to participants so they can move beyond an idea to build a structure and plan for creating a business. This would have been the first event of its kind to be held in Vancouver.
