A man accused of stabbing a customer at a Vancouver credit union during a May 26 robbery is facing additional charges for allegedly violating a no-contact order in an unrelated case.

Timar A. Degraffe, 24, made a first appearance Tuesday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of 10 counts of a domestic violence court order violation.

He has been in the Clark County Jail since May 27 for allegedly robbing the iQ Credit Union at 7017 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive and stabbing a customer who tried to intervene. Degraffe faces second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree robbery charges in that case.

He previously was convicted of domestic violence assault, theft and criminal impersonation, according to Columbian archives. The prosecution at a previous court hearing said Degraffe was released from prison May 15 after serving time for a domestic violence conviction.

Degraffe reportedly has a felony protection order against him related to the mother of his child, according to court documents.

He is now accused of contacting a woman, unrelated to the robbery case, more than 400 times while in the jail, the prosecution said during his Tuesday hearing.

Degraffe asked Judge David Gregerson why there is a no-contact order in place when neither he nor the victim want it.

“How can I get it dropped when I’m in the jail all of the time?” he asked.

Gregerson appointed Vancouver attorney Jack Peterson, who is representing Degraffe in his other case, to defend him in this case. He told Degraffe he needs to consult with his attorney on the matter.

Gregerson agreed to set Degraffe’s bail at a higher amount, $825,000.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in this case on July 31.
