A 10-stop garden tour later this month will showcase gardens that use sustainable techniques, according to Clark County’s Environmental Services department.

The Natural Garden Tour will help participants learn about using native plants, conserving water with rain barrels, attracting beneficial insects, designing alternatives to traditional lawns and other topics, according to the county.

The free, self-guided tour lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 26.

Booklets with details about the tour are available at numerous garden stores and the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. in Vancouver.

People can also find more information by contacting Hana Marino at Clark County Environmental Services by phone at 360-397-2121 ext. 5290 or by email at hana.marino@clark.wa.gov.
