Electrical work on the Interstate 5 Bridge will close the sidewalk on the northbound span Thursday, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
The sidewalk will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday while crews complete the work, according to ODOT. Bicyclists and pedestrians will still have access to the sidewalk on the southbound side of the I-5 Bridge. The freeway itself won’t be affected in either direction.
ODOT operates and maintains the I-5 Bridge. The northbound span opened in 1917; the southbound span opened in 1958.
