A draft environmental impact statement on Clark County’s comprehensive growth management plan update is due out on Aug. 5.

After months of delays, the Clark County council voted in April to move the comprehensive plan update on to environmental review. The comprehensive plan will serve as Clark County’s road map for population and job growth centers for the next 20 years.

The public will be able to comment on the draft environmental impact statement until Sept. 17. The county council and planning commission will hold joint public hearings at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 and Sept. 3 at the Public Service Center at 1300 Franklin St. in Vancouver.
