Car show brings in record total for Meals on Wheels

Cascade Park East — Thanks to some old wheels, more elderly residents will receive delivered meals, as the eighth annual Touchmark Car Show & Barbecue raised $6,680 for Meals on Wheels People, a record for the event. The car show has brought in more than $20,000 for Meals on Wheels in total. More than 2,000 people attended the show, which featured 180-plus cars. The winners of the show were: Bud Wenick’s 1933 Chevy coupe in the pre-1950 category, Jarl Arnston’s 1955 Chevy pickup in the post-1950 category, Gerald Smith’s 1933 Ford coupe in the Touchmark residents’ choice category and Bary Garrigues’s 1948 Willys Jeepster custom street rod in the people’s choice category.
