Battle Ground Police chief earns restorative justice award

Battle Ground — Battle Ground Police Chief Bob Richardson was honored by the Northwest Justice Forum with the 2015 Regional Restorative Justice Award. He earned the award for his work in the field of restorative justice, which is the community response to crime that focuses on addressing the harms done to victims and communities by holding offenders meaningfully accountable for their offenses in order to create safe, healthy communities, according to a release. He was presented with the award by Eric Gilman, program manager at Clark County Juvenile Court, and was nominated for the award by the juvenile court staff.
