Scholarships
EVERGREEN HIGH SCHOOL
These 2015 graduates reported receiving the following scholarships:
Matthew Arnett, son of David and Stacyn Arnett, received a full National Merit Scholarship and a renewable Marching Band Scholarship, both from Brigham Young University.
Savannah Ashdown, daughter of Misty and Jeromy Ashdown, received a Dave Chamberlain Scholarship.
Brittany Baird, daughter of Jennifer and Brian Baird, received a Duke Scholar Award. She plans to attend George Fox University.
Evelin Barajas-Ulloa, daughter of Martha Ulloa and Antonio Diaz, plans to attend Washington State University Vancouver. She received a College Bound Scholarship.
Blake Bedlion, son of Tammy Bedlion and Joseph Bedlion, plans to attend Clark College. He received a KMR Group Foundation Scholarship.
Jennifer Breaker, daughter of Robert Breaker and Julie Breaker, received a KMR Group Foundation Scholarship. She plans to study at Clark College.
Arianna Burleson, daughter of Traci Burleson and Bryan Burleson, plans to attend the International Air and Hospitality Academy, from which she received a scholarship. She also received Careers That Work Scholarship.
Kaleb Burris, son of Keenan and Kim Burris, plans to attend Grand Canyon University, from which he received a renewable Music Scholarship and a renewable Academic Scholarship. He also received an Evergreen School District Foundation Scholarship, a Greater St. Helens League Scholarship and a Bob Kaleta Music Scholarship from the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County.
Arnold Castro, son of Arnulfo Castro and Matilde Castro, plans to attend Washington State University. He received a College Bound Scholarship, a Dave Chamberlain Scholarship and a KMR Group Foundation Scholarship.
Matt Dee, son of JJ and Marsha Dee, received a full baseball scholarship from Clackamas Community College.
Sandi Dozark, daughter of Jackie Dozark, plans to attend Central Washington University. She received a College Bound Scholarship.
Kobey Eaton, son of Jessica Strange and Maurice Eaton, received an Athletic Scholarship for football from Montana State University, and a Leadership, Achievement and Service Scholarship.
Riley Ellison, son of Rich and Delta Ellison, received a renewable Future Cougars of Color Scholarship and a renewable Balanced Man Scholarship, both from Washington State University.
Chelsea Fraser, daughter of Casey and Cheryl Fraser, plans to attend FIDM, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, from which she received a DECA Scholarship, an Academic Scholarship and a Junior Advantage Scholarship. She also received an Evergreen School District Foundation Scholarship, a Fern Grimm Enterprise Scholarship, a First Place Scholarship, a Fashion Club President Scholarship, and a Fashion Club Active Member Scholarship.
Xisela Guerrero, daughter of Filemon Guerrero, plans to attend Pacific Lutheran University, where she received an Academic Award and a Q Club Scholarship.
Tyler Harmon, son of Christy Lutz and Robert Harmon, received a university scholarship from Washington State University.
Yen Hoang plans to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from which she received a renewable Athlete Merit Scholarship.
Hannah Jeung, daughter of Young Joo Lee, plans to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, from which she received a Merit Scholarship.
Alexander Klaus, son of Karen Klaus and Ronald Klaus, received a Washington State Opportunity Scholarship, a KMR Group Foundation Scholarship and an Academic Scholarship from Washington State University Vancouver.
Robert Long, son of Kimberly Schleiger and Robert D. Long, received a Samuel W. Marx Memorial Scholarship, a Rotary Club Scholarship and a FAC Scholarship. He plans to attend Clark College.
ToniAnne Machala, daughter of Loree Machala and Cyrus Machala, received a Pride Foundation Scholarship and a university scholarship from Central Washington University.
Chevis Marques, son of Kris Marques and Chesatie Marques, plans to study at Grand Canyon University. He received a Priority Registration Grant and an Academic Direct President Scholarship.
Denish Mataia, daughter of Rudolph and Malia Mataia, received a Merit Scholarship from Earlham College, where she was recruited for volleyball.
Michele Matthew, daughter of Mitchell Matthew, received an Academic Scholarship and a Q Club Scholarship from Pacific Lutheran University. She also received a Samuel W. Marx Memorial Scholarship and a Dorothy Schwab Educational Foundation Scholarship.
Rebecca Mattson, daughter of Dawn and Todd Mattson, received a Dick Grabenhorst Scholarship. She plans to attend the University of Washington.
Justice Murphy, son of Heather Murphy, plans to attend the University of Wyoming, where he received a full Athletic Football Scholarship.
Leeanne Nguyen, daughter of My-Le Tran and John Nguyen, received a university scholarship from the University of Washington, a Kaiser Permanente Scholarship and a First Place Community Service Scholarship.
Lily Nguyen, daughter of Loi Nguyen and Can Nguyen, received a university scholarship from the University of Washington.
Yaneli Sanchez, daughter of Laura Juarez and Alberto Sanchez, plans to attend Washington State University Vancouver. She received a College Bound Scholarship.
Taryn Sciortino, daughter of James and Stacey Sciortino, received a university scholarship from Washington State University, a Washington State Opportunity Scholarship, an Evergreen Foundation Scholarship, a Samuel W. Marx Memorial Scholarship, and an Evergreen Public Schools Office/Clerical Scholarship.
Angie Shumway, daughter of Carrie and Ray Shumway, plans to study at Portland State University, where she received an Out-of-State Opportunity Scholarship.
Bailley Simms, daughter of Jennifer Simms, plans to attend Washington State University. She received an American Red Cross Scholarship, a University Achievement Award and a Future Cougars of Color Scholarship.
Reyna Victoriano-Candia, daughter of Dionicio Victoriano-Rufino Candia, plans to attend Washington State University Vancouver. She received a Grimm Enterprises Scholarship.
Austin Wright, son of Jodi and Jason Wright, received an Athletic Scholarship and plans to attend Bacone University.
Schubert K. Yu, son of Kenneth and Josefina Yu, received an Achievement Award from Washington State University Vancouver, a Magna Carta Scholarship and a MESA 2013-2014 Competition Award.
