Health Worker Report

The Columbian
Published: July 11, 2015, 12:00am

The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In April, the secretary of health suspended the registered nursing assistant credential of Debra A. Fisher for at least 10 years. Fisher admitted taking money from the adult family home where she worked, and from a resident of the home, for her own use.

In April, the secretary of health entered an agreement with registered nursing assistant Nicholas Allen Thomas that suspends his credential for at least two years. Thomas deposited only $100 of a client’s $132 check, stealing $32.

In April, the Nursing Commission charged registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner Deena Michele Chamlee with being unable to practice with reasonable skill and safety. Charges say Chamlee’s communication with former work colleagues and with a commission investigator “exhibited a concerning level of disorganized thinking and paranoid delusions.”
