Go, Ideas for Your Weekend — Art on the Vine, Rainbow Celebration

1. Art on the vine

The eighth annual English Estate Winery Art and Wine Fair features more than 30 local artists and artisans on the historic winery’s lawn, including jewelry makers, painters, fabric crafts and wine-inspired items. There also will be music performances on two stages throughout both days, including performances by Caryn Jamieson, Tom Mann, Somewhere Between and Marianne Flemming. The tasting rooms will be open to visitors, with a $5 tasting fee. The fair is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 11 and noon to 6 p.m. July 12 at the English Estate Winery, 17806 S.E. 2. Rainbow celebration

Open to all, the 21st annual Saturday in the Park Pride celebrates the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in Clark County and their families in a picnic setting. The day begins at 9:15 a.m. July 11 with the 22nd annual Lyle’s Myles 5K run and walk. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. for $10, with proceeds benefiting Global Partners for Development, Martha’s Pantry and Cascade Aids Project. Saturday in the Park runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event includes entertainment along with activities and community booths at Esther Short Park, West Eighth and Columbia streets. At 7 p.m., the Mr., Miss and Ms. Gay Vancouver Pageant will take place at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 107 E. Seventh St., Vancouver. Tickets for the pageant are $12 to $15, with proceeds benefiting Martha’s Pantry, Audrey M. 3. Roll on, beer kegs

Weird Beer on the River is a tasting event that challenged 25 breweries to create two odd brews for the festival, with proceeds benefiting CDM Caregiving Services. There will be both big regional brewers, such as Deschutes Brewery, Elysian and Ninkasi Brewing, along with local beer makers Mt. Tabor, West Highland, Amnesia, Beered Brothers, Doomsday, Mill City Brew Werks and Railside Brewing. The beer event runs 4 to 10 p.m. July 10 and noon to 9 p.m. July 11 at Marina Park, 24 South A St., Washougal; $17 to $20 for 21 and older. http://cdmcaregiving.org/events/weird-beer-on-the-river

4. Automotive wonder

The 10th annual Camas Classic Car Show brings hundreds of classic custom cars, hot rods and trucks to be displayed on the streets of downtown Camas. There will be live music, food, best in show awards and people’s choice. Those who participate can register their car at 1 p.m. with $15 for registration. The free event runs 4 to 8:30 p.m. July 11 in downtown Camas, Northeast Fourth Avenue and Birch Street. Canned food donations are encouraged. www.downtowncamas.com

5. Summer movies

See a movie almost every night this week, kicking off with the first Friday Night Movie in the Park. Grab blankets or lawn chairs for a family-friendly movie in your local park, with pre-movie activities before each film starting at 7 p.m. “Annie (2014),” rated PG, will be shown July 10 at Leroy Haagen Park, N.E. 130th Ave., Vancouver. http://www.cityofvancouver.us/parksrec

The Westfield Vancouver mall continues its Summer Movie Series at 10 a.m. each Tuesday through Aug. 25. The free family-friendly movies will be followed by activities and crafts. “Megamind,” rated PG, will be shown July 14 at Cinetopia Vancouver Mall 23, 8700 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, Vancouver. Across the river, the Northwest Film Center opens its movie series Top Down Rooftop Cinema, showing an art house movie atop Hotel deLuxe’s parking structure each Thursday through Aug. 27. “Song of the Thin Man” will be shown, with live music starting at 8 p.m. July 16 at Hotel deLuxe, Southwest 15th and Yamhill streets, Portland.
