Striping work next week will reconfigure portions of state Highway 500 in Camas, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The changes will add bike lanes and two-way left turn lanes in an effort to improve safety. New bike lanes will run along Highway 500 between Northeast Third Avenue and Northeast 23rd Avenue, and will connect with existing bike lanes near Lacamas Lake, according to WSDOT. The plan was developed with the city of Camas.
Work will begin daily at 8 a.m. starting Sunday and continue through July 17, according to WSDOT. Drivers should expect delays in the area while crews complete the work.
