A week after a body was found near Ridgefield, police have not released new information in the homicide case.

Detectives continue to investigate the death of a man found by loggers near Northeast 179th Street and 15th Avenue.

Loggers arriving for work just before 6 a.m. July 1 discovered the body in the middle of an open field and called 911, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives believe the man was not killed in the field, which is about a half-mile from Interstate 5, sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman said. The body did not have any obvious decomposition when it was found, detectives said.
