A body recovered from the Willamette River on Monday was identified as a 43-year-old Vancouver man.
The Multnomah County (Ore.) Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Brian Jay Burnett drowned and that there were no signs of foul play, the agency said Tuesday.
Around 6:10 p.m. Monday, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol deputies and the Portland Fire Bureau responded to a report of a body spotted in the river near the Broadway Bridge in downtown Portland. The body was recovered from the river and transported to a Portland fire station before being turned over to the medical examiner.
