Fourth of July Holiday Closures

The Fourth of July is Saturday. Many businesses and agencies will observe the holiday today.

• MAIL: Post offices open today, regular home delivery. Post offices closed Saturday, with no home delivery except Amazon parcels. The postal unit at Shell, 1605 N.W. Sixth Ave., Camas, is open 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the year.

• GARBAGE: Waste Connections, in Vancouver and most of Clark County, operates on its regular schedule. In Camas, pickups normally made on Fridays will be made Monday.

• PUBLIC LIBRARIES: Fort Vancouver Regional Library closed Saturday. Camas Public Library closed today and Saturday.

• COLLEGES: No classes at Clark College or Washington State University Vancouver today.

• CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES: Offices open today, closed Saturday. For 24-hour customer service, call 360-992-3000. For outages or emergencies, call 360-992-8000.

• GOVERNMENT OFFICES: Offices closed today.

• PARKING METERS: On-street parking in Vancouver is free today.

• BUSES: C-Tran buses provide reduced service today, with some local routes canceled and others on Saturday schedules. On Saturday, C-Tran buses follow Sunday/holiday schedules. There will be shuttle service from Westfield Vancouver mall to the Fourth of July fireworks show at Fort Vancouver at least every 15 minutes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Shuttles return passengers to the mall immediately following the fireworks at the fort. $2 cash per person for round-trip; children 6 and younger ride free. Day and monthly passes accepted. TriMet buses follow Sunday schedules on Saturday.

• DRIVER’S LICENSING: Offices normally open Monday through Friday are closed today. Offices normally open Tuesday through Saturday are closed Saturday.

• EMISSIONS TESTING: Closed Saturday.

• VEHICLE LICENSING: Closed today and Saturday.

• FINANCIAL MARKETS: U.S. markets closed today.

• BANKS: Most open today, closed Saturday; check your bank for details.

• ZOO: Oregon Zoo open regular hours.

• LUEPKE SENIOR CENTER: Closed today and Saturday.

• MARSHALL COMMUNITY CENTER: Closed Saturday.

• FIRSTENBURG COMMUNITY CENTER: Closed Saturday.

• WATER RESOURCES EDUCATION CENTER: Open noon to 5 p.m. today, closed Saturday.

• CLARK COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM: Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. today. From 5 to 9 p.m., admission is free for First Friday event. The museum is closed Saturday.

• THE COLUMBIAN: Offices open today.
