Trust seeks volunteers for classic car event

The Fort Vancouver National Trust is seeking 150 volunteers to help at the Columbia River Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, Aug. 2.

Classic cars restored to showroom polish will be on display along Officers Row.

Individuals, service organizations and corporate groups can sell tickets and collect them at the gates, work as vehicle zone attendants or control traffic. The application and specific job descriptions are at http://columbiariverconcours.com/volunteer/.

Volunteers may request jobs and shifts, although the trust may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Volunteers must attend a 45-minute training session prior to the event; sessions are at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18.
