The Department of Early Learning is filling two vacant seats on the Washington Early Learning Advisory Council. It is accepting applications from qualified and interested individuals.

The open seats will represent a family home child care provider and a Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant/Seasonal Head Start or Tribal Head Start Program representative.

The governor-appointed seats are two-year positions effective upon appointment. The council meets at least six times annually.

Although it is an unpaid position, non-governmental members may be eligible for compensation and reimbursement for travel expenses incurred while carrying out council duties.

Interested individuals can apply online on the governor’s website at www.governor.wa.gov by July 15.
