Local breweries earn Washington Beer Awards

Clark County — Results of the third annual Washington Beer Awards were announced recently, and a few Clark County brewers were honored for their work. Vancouver-based Heathen Brewing’s Absolution took home bronze in the Germany Hybrid category. Heathen’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Epitaph earned the brewery a silver medal in the Wood & Barrel Aged Strong category. Loowit Brewing Company, of Vancouver, won a bronze in the German Wheat & Rye for its Der Couvensteiner Dunkelweizen. Loowit also took the silver for its Extrabeerestrial ESB in the Bitters category.
