Former Columbian garden editor honored at regional Emmys

Clark County — Ed Hume was inducted into the Gold Circle of the northwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at the 52nd Northwest Regional Emmy Awards on June 6 in Seattle. Hume was the garden editor at The Columbian in the 1970s and ’80s. Hume’s program, “Gardening in America” is celebrating its 50th year on the air this year.
