The visiting Hilanders outscored the Hawks 14-3 in overtime, cashing in from the free-throw line in the non-league win.

Hockinson’s Hannah Neibauer hit a 3-pointer at the fourth-quarter buzzer to send the game to overtime, but the short-handed Hawks could not keep pace in the extra period when Kelso shot 13 free throws.

Neibauer and Brittany McGuire scored 12 points apiece for Hockinson. Neibauer also had six steals, six assists and eight rebounds. McGuire finished with 11 rebounds.

But McGuire and Elle Tilken both fouled out in the fourth quarter and Hockinson saw a late-game lead disappear.

Hockinson’s Sydnie Cole-Volger left the game in the first minute with a knee injury, according to Hawks coach Damon Roche.

Loryn Musgrove scored 23 points to lead Kelso.
