Ridgefield — Gougér Cellars recently picked up two more international awards for red wine, this time from the San Diego International Wine Competition.
At this year’s event, Gougér’s 2010 petite sirah won a platinum award. The petite sirah narrowly missed out on the competition’s highest honor, best in show, by one point.
Gougér’s 2011 zinfandel was awarded an international silver at the competition, as well. Gougér Cellars produces five dry red wines, all of which have been honored in international competition.
