PORTLAND-If you’re without Comcast or Charter cable and are looking to stream Portland Trail Blazers games online, you’ll have to wait until at least next season.

The Blazers will not offer a streaming product for their games as they have done in past seasons, a team source confirmed Wednesday.

Last season, the Blazers sold a streaming package that gave fans access to 58 games broadcast on Comcast Sportsnet Northwest for $99.99 that could be accessed through TrailBlazers.com.

The package was available only to those fans who were not in an area where they could access Comcast Sportsnet.

The Blazers made the announcement early last season they would offer the streaming service and did not made such an announcement at all this year.

It is not immediately known whether the Blazers will have a streaming option, either sold individually or through Comcast Sportsnet, in coming seasons.

Several other markets that broadcast through a Comcast Sportsnet affiliate such as Sacramento, Chicago and Golden State, offer streaming services to subscribers.

Comcast subscribers in the Portland area are not offered the same service to stream Blazer games. The Blazers, who were one of the first teams in the NBA to produce their own game broadcasts with team employees, were also the first NBA team to stream their games back in 2009-10.

The Blazers and Comcast signed a 10-year contract in 2007 for distribution rights.
