Girls basketball: Washougal 52, R.A. Long 45

RaeAnn Allen scored 22 points and Alyssa Blankenship 17 as the Panthers held off R.A. Long’s second half surge to win the 2A Greater St. Helens game on the road.

The win assures Washougal (12-3, 6-2) of a district playoff berth.

Blankenship scored 11 of her points in the first quarter. She also had six rebounds and four steals in the game.

Allen had seven rebounds and scored eight points in the fourth quarter to help seal the win after R.A. Long closed to within four points.
