H&R Block is hosting a free “Tax Talk” about the impact of the Affordable Care Act on tax returns.

Melissa Gorham, an H&R Block tax professional, will give the presentation at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St.

Under health care reform, those who are uninsured may be subject to a tax penalty if they don’t qualify for an exemption. And those who received health insurance through the insurance exchange will have to reconcile their tax credit when they file their tax returns, according to H&R Block.

The free event will educate attendees on their responsibility to obtain insurance, availability of assistance with health care costs, availability of exemptions, tax return requirements and planning for 2015.

For more information about the event, call 360-695-8530.
