The visiting Titans took command early, limiting the Tigers to 14 points in the first half.

Riley Hawken scored 15 points, Micah Paulson 14 and Cameron Cranston 12 for Union (14-1), which improved to 7-0 and maintained its two-game lead in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League.

Nate Moring led Battle Ground (7-8, 3-4) with 13 points.

Battle Ground coach Wes Armstrong gave Union credit for taking the game to his Tigers.

“Union just beat us in every facet of the game,” Armstrong said. “They came out and played with a lot more intensity and we really had no answer.”
