Mark Bejan and Kenese Peneueta scored 19 points apiece and the Timberwolves rode a fast start to the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League victory.
Peneueta scored 12 of his points in the first quarter, when Heritage built a 19-12 lead. The Timberwolves held the advantage the rest of the way. Mountain View pulled within three points once in the fourth quarter, but never had possession of the ball with a chance to tie or take a lead.
Four Timberwolves scored in double figures. Payton Monda finished with 14 points and Kalani Umiamaka added 13. Monda and Bejan each made three 3-pointers for Heritage (6-9, 3-4 GSHL).
Corey Henderson had 28 points and 12 rebounds for the host Thunder (2-13, 0-7). Ari Smith made four of Mountain View’s 10 3-pointers and finished with 16 points.
