Camas teen to play with Oregon orchestra

Camas — Yun Teng, 17, will play as a guest soloist in the Willamette Falls Symphony’s concert Sunday in Oregon City, Ore. He will play his 350-year-old violin with the Oregon City-based orchestra during the performance of Jean Sibelius’ “Violin Concerto.” Teng has played with the Portland Youth String Ensemble and the Portland Youth Philharmonic. The Willamette Falls Symphony is a nonprofit community orchestra sponsored in part by Oregon City Community Schools. The concert is 3 p.m. Sunday at the Oregon City United Methodist Church, 18955 S. End Road, Oregon City. Tickets will be available at the door for $12 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors. Admission is free for children younger than 12.
