Fire damaged a home Friday night in Vancouver’s Truman neighborhood.
The fire was reported at 8:43 p.m. at 4701 N.E. 40th Ave., near Harry S. Truman Elementary School. A passerby reported seeing smoke coming from the windows and flames inside the house. Vancouver firefighters arrived to find the house on fire and worked to douse the flames.
It’s unclear whether anyone was inside the home at the time; no ambulance was called to the scene.
