Girls basketball: Washougal 48, Hockinson 45

The Panthers withstood the visiting Hawks in a scrappy, up-and-down 2A Greater St. Helens League matchup.

Hockinson had two chances to score in the final 22 seconds, but came up empty.

Alyssa Blankenship had 16 points and six steals for Washougal, and Mackenzie Kitchen came off the bench to score six points and provide a good defensive rebounding effort for the Panthers.

Hockinson’s Hannah Neibauer led all scorers with 18 points. Elle Tilkin had 10 for the Hawks.
