Portland Boat Show continues through Sunday

PORTLAND — Hundreds of fishing boats, ski boats, yachts, sailing vessels, personal watercraft and more will be on display through Sunday at the 55th annual Portland Boat Show.

Show hours at the Portland Expo Center are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

General admission is $10. Youth age 12 and younger are admitted free.

Two-for-one discount coupons are available online at www.otshows.com.

Parking at the Expo Center is $7 for car pools of three or more and $8 otherwise during regular hours. Parking will be free from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and Friday.

Besides new boats, the show will have a large selection of used boats. Also on display will be rainbow trout weighing nearly 40 pounds.

The trout have been growing for years and are ready to be displayed finally.

Schooner Creek Boat Works of Portland will have youth boat building area. The boats that participated in the annual Portland Christmas Ships Parade will be on display, too.
