Boys basketball: Battle Ground 46, Camas 45

Andrej Besara hit a 3-pointer with less than 3 seconds on the clock to lift the Battle Ground Tigers to a 46-45 boys basketball win on Tuesday at Camas.

The Class 4A Greater St. Helens League game was close throughout. A steal and layup by Jake Hansel put Camas up by two points with 15 seconds left before Besara buried the game-winner.

Camas missed a 3-point shot as time expired.

Both teams shot well from the perimeter in a game that featured few fouls. Battle Ground connected eight times from 3-point range and Camas hit seven shots from behind the arc.

Besara finished with a game-high 14 points and Devin Johnson scored 12 for Battle Ground.

Hansel led Camas with 12 points and Jordan Anderson had 10 points.

Battle Ground won without making a free throw (0-for-4). Camas was 4 for 6 from the foul line.
