Fort Vancouver Trust holds Buffalo Soldier exhibit this week

Vancouver — The Fort Vancouver National Trust will hold a special exhibit on Buffalo Soldiers from Wednesday through Saturday at the Red Cross Building, 605 E. Barnes St.

The exhibit honors the history of Buffalo Soldiers and quartermasters stationed at Vancouver Barracks. It will include artifacts and photos and will run from noon to 2 p.m. daily. The group will also hold a free lecture at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Red Cross Building, featuring stories of Medal of Honor recipient Moses Williams.
