Grace Russell had a big night off the bench for Battle Ground, and Jossilyn Blackman ruled the inside game for the Tigers.

The victory keeps Battle Ground’s season alive for at least another day. The Tigers will travel to face Camas for second place in the Class 4A District 4 girls basketball tournament. Tip-off is 6 p.m. Friday.

The winner of that game will go to state. The loser’s season will be done.

Union’s season came to an end with Thursday’s loss.

Blackman finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Russell had nine points and seven boards. She beat the halftime buzzer with a 3-pointer, giving the Tigers and eight-point lead.

Emily Griffith added 10 points for Battle Ground. Kylie Smith had eight points and nine rebounds.
