Boys basketball: Lincoln 72, Columbia River 64

Lincoln of Tacoma pulled away over the final three minutes to reach the Class 3A bi-district championship game.

Spencer Long scored 24 points for Columbia River, which will play Saturday in Puyallup for third place against Foss of Tacoma. The Chieftains have already clinched a state berth.

Josian Barsh scored 28 points for Lincoln, which led by three with three minutes to play.

“Every time we made a move they answered,” River coach David Long said. “They stepped up and hit tough shots, I thought our kids defended really well.”

Andrew Vickers had eight points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for River.

Lincoln will play Tacoma rival Wilson for the bi-district championship Saturday.
