• City of Vancouver Water Resources Education Center seeks help at Second Saturday and other events. Garden and wetland help is also needed year-round.
• Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors is looking for volunteers to help with counseling, clerical support, outreach, public speaking and projects. Training is provided.
The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership is looking for 40 participants to plant trees from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Washougal. All ages are welcome. Friends of Trees, a Portland-based nonprofit group, seeks help planting trees 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in West Vancouver neighborhoods. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Gloves, tools and snacks will be provided beginning at 8:45 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver.
