HOCKINSON — The Hockinson Band Program will host the Second Annual North County Honor Bands event Feb. 20 and 21 at Hockinson Middle School and Hockinson High School. The event will culminate with a free concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Hockinson High School Auditorium, 16819 NE 159th St., Brush Prairie.
Approximately 120 students, representing seven high schools and 14 middle schools from the Battle Ground, Camas, Hockinson, La Center, Ridgefield, Washougal and Woodland school districts will participate. Students were recommended by their band directors.
Christopher Chapman, director of bands at Oregon State University, will direct the high school honor band. Dan Ogren, Portland State University, will direct the middle school honor band.
