Red roses are a traditional Valentine’s Day gift, and so are chocolate-covered strawberries. At Vancouver’s Bleu Door Bakery, Kelly Conover devoted part of her Friday to preparing the sweet treats.
Bloomberg News reports that Americans will buy $7 million worth of chocolate-covered strawberries this weekend. Valentine’s Day accounts for half of the yearly sales total for the treats.
