Columbia River’s season ended with a narrow loss in the 3A bi-district tournament consolation round.

Marion Lilly scored 21 points, including all nine of the Chieftains’ fourth-quarter points.

She helped River (14-8) overcome a six-point deficit over the final 2 minutes, 30 seconds. Three times, she drove to the hoop, scored and was fouled.

“They were just clutch hard drives to the basket in traffic,” River coach Carl Click said.

River had a shot to win in the final seconds, but missed a jumper from the top of the key.

“We got a wide open look and missed,” Click said. “It was the shot we wanted.”

River led 14-3 after the first quarter. But Enumclaw (14-8) rallied by hitting outside shots as the Hornets had nine 3-pointers.

Holli Jo Chose and Megan Bloom each had eight rebounds for River. Kate Kraft had 11 points and seven rebounds.
