Girls basketball: Battle Ground 56, Union 49

Jossilyn Blackman had 25 points and 12 rebounds as the Tigers claimed the No. 3 seed for the 4A GSHL district tournament.

Battle Ground (11-10) will host sixth-seeded Heritage in a loser-out game Tuesday.

Union (10-11) is the No. 4 seed and will host Mountain View in a loser-out game Tuesday.

Battle Ground successfully used its height advantage by getting the ball to Blackman. The Tigers post drew fouls and was 11-for-15 from the free throw line.

Abby Forsyth had 13 points and Sarah Trostle added 12 for Union.
