Driver flees the scene after injury auto crash

The driver who caused a collision in east Vancouver on Thursday evening ran from the crash site. The crash was reported at 6:42 p.m. at Northeast Ninth Street and 136th Avenue near LeRoy Haagen Memorial Community Park.

The driver left behind his passenger and wasn’t found by police, according to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp. She said the crash resulted in injuries, but they were described as not life-threatening.
