Boating safety class scheduled Feb. 28 in Vancouver

Registration is open for a boating safety class beginning at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Clark County Public Works Maintenance and Operations Conference Center, 4700 N.E. 78th Ave.

The course costs $10 per boater.

Offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Power Squadron and Clark County Marine Patrol, the class continues until 4:45 p.m. Completion of the course can reduce the cost of boat insurance and readies students to obtain a Washington or Oregon boater safety card.
