Battle Ground — Fifteen members of the Rocksolid Community Teen Center took some time after school recently to volunteer at Kiwanis Park.
On Jan. 28, the group grabbed some shovels and wheelbarrows, and spent two hours working in the park, weeding around trees and laying out bark dust.
“Many thanks to Rocksolid for making a positive difference in our community and our park a more enjoyable place to visit,” said Battle Ground Parks & Recreation Director Debbi Hanson in a press release.
Rocksolid is a nonprofit which looks to provide safe and fun after-school activities for kids in grades five to 12.
