Banfield Pet Hospital, the Portland-based veterinary chain that is moving its headquarters to Vancouver next year, has named a company vice president as its new president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Vincent Bradley, who joined Banfield in 2011 as senior vice president of operations, has been focused on hospital operations and field leadership. He also has been responsible for real estate, facilities, construction, international and franchise operations teams, and for managing Banfield’s partnership and collaboration with PetSmart. Many of the company’s approximately 900 pet hospitals are located within PetSmart stores.
Banfield began construction last month on its new headquarters in east Vancouver at Southeast 184th Avenue, generally between 6th Way and Mill Plain Boulevard. The company expects to relocate more than 600 corporate office employees to the site before mid-2016.
Last week, the Columbia River Economic Development Council won the “Project of the Year” award from the Washington Economic Development Association for its work with Banfield Pet Hospital on its headquarters relocation. The effort, which went under the name Project Cocoa during the recruitment process, was one of two projects statewide to receive the award during a Feb. 4 conference in Olympia.
