Girls basketball: Skyview 51, Battle Ground 32

A second-quarter surge gave the host Storm the upper hand in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League game.

Skyview (14-4, 9-1 GSHL) outscored Battle Ground 16-3 in the second quarter, with Riley Friauf contributing six of her team-high 10 points. The Storm led by nine at halftime and put away the game with a 20-point fourth quarter.

HJ Adams had six assists and six steals and Ashlee Comastro and Maddie Lord led Skyview rebounding with eight apiece.

Jossilyn Blackman scored 15 points for Battle Ground (8-10, 5-5).
