Prairie started fast then relied on its defense to reach the finals at the Phoenix Cactus Jam in Arizona.
Grace Prom scored 24 points on 6-for-12 shooting from 3-point range, but Prairie struggled otherwise from the field.
Leading 23-7 after one quarter, the Falcons scored just one point in the second quarter to lead 24-14 at halftime.
“We weren’t shooting well at all,” Falcons coach Brett Johnson said. “The thing that kept us in it was our defense.”
Cherita Daugherty has eight points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Mallory Williams added eight rebounds.
Prairie will face Holy Child of Potomac, Md., in the Cactus Division championship at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
