Volunteers pack up essentials for Share

Orchards — For the last 16 years, employees and volunteers through the Kate and Marty Rifkin Group Foundation have packed holiday bags filled with essential day items for Share. The group was back at it on Dec. 6, loading up boxes to ensure more than 900 men, women and children will receive an Essential Pack, containing socks, toothpaste and soap. The children’s packs will also have a plush pet, crayons and activity books. The foundation works to feed the hungry, protect children from abuse and provide some measure of comfort to the parents of hospitalized kids.
