Bagley Downs — Things were a bit more festive than normal at ReTails Thrift Store on Dec. 11. Employees dressed up like elves, and shoppers could get 50 percent off their purchase by singing Christmas carols. All they had to do was grab a lyric sheet from the elves and sing into the store microphone and they earned half off their purchase. All proceeds from ReTails Thrift Store, 5000 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, supports the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, which provides care for more than 8,000 animals every year.
