Washougal teachers and the school district did not reach a deal during last week’s mediated bargaining sessions.
A third session with a state mediator has been scheduled for Dec. 28.
“We remain confident that a fair and equitable contract can be agreed upon,” Mike Stromme, Washougal School District superintendent, said in a statement.
Stromme is in his first year leading the district.
Washougal teachers have been working without a contract since Aug. 31. Compensation remains a major unresolved issue.
