Vancouver professional boxer Virgil Green is scheduled to fight on Dec. 29 against Miguel Cruz in Bethlehem, Pa. The fight between 147-pounders is a co-main event on a card scheduled to be televised by Fox Sports 1.

This matchup was made after a scheduled fight with Green on Saturday in Las Vegas fell through.

Green, 27, is 11-3 as a professional boxer with four knockouts. Cruz, a 25-year-old from Lake May, Fla., is 11-0 with 10 knockouts as a professional.

The main event features Omar Douglas against Frank De Alba in a super featherweight bout.

Green was scheduled to fight Fabian Maidana of Argentina on Saturday in Las Vegas as part of a Spike TV show, but Maidana withdrew prior to the weigh-in. Green last fought on May 30 in Tacoma, winning with a first-round technical knockout of Marceleno Pineda of Toppenish.
