Girls basketball: Tualatin (Ore.) 50, Union 41

A pair of steals for baskets helped the host Timberwolves hold off the Titans in the final minutes of the non-league game.

Abby Forsyth led Union (5-3) with 15 points, six rebounds, three steals and a bocked shot.

The difference in the game was Tualatin (5-2) making five 3-pointers to only two from behind the arc for Union. Jen Crane led a balanced Tualatin offense with 13 points.

“We lost to a good team,” Union coach Kelly Blankenship said. “We competed. We just didn’t ghet the win.”
