Kellen Butler hit two free throws with 0.8 second left to lift the Tigers to fourth place at the Curtis Winter Classic in University Place.
“It was nice how we bounced back from that first loss to win two of three here,” Battle Ground coach Wes Armstrong said. “We took on a physical South Kitsap, and I’m proud of how we responded.”
After trailing 20-16 at halftime, the Tigers took a 34-29 after three quarters and stretched the lead to seven early in the fourth quarter.
But Eric Wattree, who led all scorers with 21 points, rallied South Kitsap and tied the game late.
Battle Ground had the ball with six seconds to go when Butler was fouled as he drove to the basket.
Kobe Ford led Battle Ground (3-4) with 13 points and Daelon Floyd added eight points and 11 rebounds.
